It is installed on the High Voltage side of the distribution transformer or on the main branch of the distribution line, used for sho-circuit and overload protection of transformers and lines, as well as for breaking and closing load currents. The drop out fuse consists of an Insulation bracket and a fuse tube. e static contact is installed at both ends of the insulation bracket, and the dynamic contact is installed at both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube consists of a layer of arc extinguishing tube and an outer layer of epoxy glass tube. Load Drop Type Fuses are equipped with elastic auxilia contacts and arc extinguishing covers to open and close load currents.

Continue to pull the contact with the insulating rod, and the auxiliay contacts also separate, generating an arc between the auxiliay contacts. me arc is elongated in the narrow slot of the arc extinguishing cover, and gas is generated in the arc extinguishing cover. When the current passes zero, the arc is extinguished.
